Description

LIBERIN capsule is indicated for both insulin dependent and non insulin dependent
Diabetes Mellitus.

  • As a stand-alone treatment – For patients with high insulin resistance and increased glucose levels dose should be 1 capsule thrice daily before food. As the required result is reached it can be cut down to 1 twice daily dose. For patients with newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus 1 capsule twice daily before food is enough.
  • As adjuant therapy in Type 2 Diabetes mellitus- In patients taking metformin, Liberin can be given at 1 capsule thrice daily without being concerned with hypoglycemia. When given along with sulfonyl ureas and glitazones the dose should be given as 1 tablet twice daily to gauge the levels of hypoglycemia and slowly reduce dose of the modern drug and if required, increase the dose of Liberin initially to counter an abrupt increase in glucose levels.
  • As adjuant therapy in Insulin dependent Diabetes mellitus- The dose should be 1 tablet thrice daily initially in patients with high insulin resistance and when the therapeutic effect is reached insulin levels should be reduced and dosage of Liberin stabilized for three months. The dose can be slowly reduced after looking at HbA1C levels.
